Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) activities
  • Support vendor risk assessment processes
  • Monitor and review Google Workspace alerts and dashboards
  • Review security tool dashboards including SentinelOne, Varonis, and Proofpoint
  • Conduct research on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices
  • Support Student SOC initiative
  • Organize and maintain the Information Security Department's SharePoint site
 
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in monthly Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) lab trainings
  • Participate in security projects such as tabletop exercises, phishing simulations, and security assessments
  • Help maintain security documentation including SOPs and playbooks
  • Support incident response activities by gathering information and documenting findings as able under supervision

Requirements:

  • Must be a current student at Regent University only
  • Must be Federal Work Study eligible
  • Currently enrolled student majoring in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Familiarity with common security tools and technologies (SIEM, EDR, firewalls)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary: $13.00 per hour
