Responsibilities:

  • Reception and check-in of all walk-in students
  • Managing phone calls
  • Responding to general student questions
  • Reviewing and assigning statuses to student applications
  • Assisting the accommodations coordinators with larger tasks (i.e. obtaining and providing accessible course materials and books, securing and providing the notes from peer notetakers, etc).
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the Disability Services office

Requirements:

  • Must conduct themselves in a professional and mature manner
  • Must be able to show compassion and empathy when interacting with students and hearing their stories
  • Must understand the importance of confidentiality and ensure that confidentiality is maintained
  • Preferred to have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree     
  • Should have a desire for accessibility and ensuring equal access for our students with disabilities

Salary: $12.77 per hour
