The Internship Coordinator/Certification and Licensure Official will provide administrative support to the Regent University School of Education. This position will manage licensure verification and documentation to ensure compliance with state licensure requirements and serve as part of the student program support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding the University policies and procedures.

Essential duties:

  • Review, complete, and submit College Verification Forms and eligibility letters to the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Guide students through licensure processes by providing clear instructions, addressing inquiries, and tracking their progress.
  • Support a variety of programs, including Elementary Education, Special Education, TESOL, and Career Switcher Programs.
  • Manage program requirements for the Career Switcher Program, monitor student progress, verify teaching contracts, and compile provisional license packets.
  • Collaborate with mentors and provide guidance to students transitioning into teaching roles.
  • Collect and analyze data for required annual reporting, including Title II reports.
  • Verify ETS assessment results and ensure alignment with program completer records.
  • Manage social media platforms and coordinate marketing initiatives to promote programs effectively.
  • Plan and execute program events and provide support to adjunct faculty and graduate students.
  • Support provisionally licensed courses administratively.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred
  • Must be able to prioritize and work well under pressure, balancing multiple demands and deadlines

  • Outstanding organizational and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Self-motivated as most of the duties are performed independently
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others at all levels of the organization
