The Legal Fellow will be supervised by the CGJ Director and provide support in all areas of the Center for Global Justice's work.

Essential duties:

  • Support the Center for Global Justice Human Trafficking Clinic through a full range of legal and administrative duties.
  • Assist in student/staff projects and CGJ legal projects.
  • Support the CGJ’s administrative and advancement work.
  • Assist with the CGJ’s internship and fellowship programs.

Qualifications:

  • JD required with prior experience in a law office or legal non-profit environment a plus
  • Proficiency in computer applications with a good understanding of databases (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Mail, Google Drive, Zoom, Westlaw/Lexis, Clio)

Candidates must have:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Proven ability to independently exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality of all matters within the office
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and professionalism
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, problem solve, and efficiently manage time to meet deadlines
  • Proactive work style and a history of collaborative teamwork
  • Ability to work well with Regent colleagues, CGJ Legal Clinic clients, and with external organizations
  • Strong proofreading and writing skills
