The Academic Services Manager (ASM) will coordinate and oversee administrative support for the School of Education. 

Work Location: Virginia Beach, VA 

Salary: $40,000 - $45,000 annually

Essential duties:

  • Coordinate the submission of academic assessment data by entering information provided by department chairs into the Weave assessment management system, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with university reporting requirements.
  • Pull and file forms provided by the program director for Student Teaching with guidance from the program director for Student Teaching.
  • Collaborate with the Business Office for Cooperating Teachers’ payment.
  • Assist with verifying student teaching logs and related documentation to ensure compliance with program, licensure, and university requirements.
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of School of Education events, including the Fall and Spring Teacher Education meetings and other program-related activities.
  • Help with official registration process for students enrolling in their dissertation course. Ensure accurate documentation of registration records, approvals, and forms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Candidates must have:

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities; ability to communicate effectively with students, university staff and faculty
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in Canvas
