The Technical Services Badging/Access Control Specialist will provide administrative/operational support to both the Regent University Police Technical Services Division at police headquarters and in a satellite office (Student Services Center) at the university. 

Essential duties:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Technical Services Manager; this includes filing, answering phones, emails, correspondence, and other work as directed
  • Manage the operation of office equipment to include computers, printers, fax, multi-line phones system, and various software programs.
  • Assist with GENETEC access control badging and data entry for faculty, staff, and students associated with Regent University and the Christian Broadcasting Network.
  • Work independently to provide support to Student Services personnel to create and/or update credentials for the University.
  • Provide guidance and direction on behalf of the university to access card end users (students, faculty and staff) while advising of procedures, policies, and addendums pertinent to approved campus access.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to badging and access while maintaining communication with the supervisor and/or manager when not in the office.
  • Perform data entry, filing, and issuance of assigned keys to Regent University, CBN, and Founders Inn.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Ability to be VCIN certified

Preferences:

  • Associates degree
  • 1-2 years of work experience in a college or university setting
  • Previous experience with access control badge creation and issuance
  • Previous experience with Genetec or other access control systems

Candidates must have:

  • Excellent working knowledge of administrative procedures and protocols
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with effective interpersonal skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to be flexible and prioritize multiple tasks while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to communicate and interact with Regent/CBN staff and the public in a positive, professional manner
  • Ability to deal discreetly and diplomatically with all levels of management
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Salary: $35,360
