The Line Cook will provide excellent food and service to the restaurant’s customer base. This position is responsible for the preparation of food to be served while complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards, and following established food production programs and procedures. The cook is responsible for the appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste, and fraud.

Essential duties:

  • Assist with the daily kitchen operations, including but not limited to setting up and stocking stations, cooking, and food prep.
  • Cook menu items in accordance with Head Chef’s instructions and standards.
  • Ensure high-quality prepared food items.
  • Comply with sanitation requirements.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude with guests and staff.
  • Ensure all Outlook emails are answered in a timely manner.
  • Wash dishes and work general utility in addition to cooking.
  • Assist the Head Chef during busy seasons. 

Qualifications:

  • Culinary experience is strongly required; a culinary degree is preferred
  • Must be able to work within the hours of 7am to 6pm, Monday-Friday and some weekends
  • Possess an understanding of sanitation and HACCP; will need to obtain ServSafe certification if not already obtained (paid for by Regent)
  • Basic understanding of equipment, cooking methods, and ingredients
  • Must be able to spend the day walking on a hard tile floor with the ability to stand for long periods of time and be able to lift 35+ pounds
