The Engineering and Computer Science (ECS) Department at Regent University is seeking a recent graduate to join its team as a Research Associate for a Capacity Building Grant. This is a unique and exceptional opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience and to build a strong foundation in cybersecurity, computer science, and computer engineering, with a specific focus on Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS).

Responsibilities:

  • Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) Research: Conduct research and analysis on security vulnerabilities and emerging concepts within Cyber-Physical Systems.
  • Knowledge Base Development: Develop, curate, and maintain technical training materials for the CPS knowledge base to support educational and research initiatives.
  • Capture the Flag (CTF) Coordination: Lead the preparation, setup, and administration of CTF competitions, including developing challenges and managing logistics.
  • Team Leadership: Coordinate and provide guidance to a team of student workers, under the direction of the department chair.
  • Grant and Department Support: Provide flexible support on other tasks to help advance key department and grant objective

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proven experience with computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
