Regent University’s College of Arts and Sciences is seeking to fill a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Government position, beginning Fall 2024. This position will be located at Regent University’s Virginia Beach, VA campus. Applicants should have the ability to teach introductory courses in American Politics, as well as upper-level courses on the Legislative Process, the American Presidency, the American Judicial System and Constitutional Law. Preference will be given to candidates who can advise and coach our undergraduate moot court team. The ideal candidate will be familiar with American political thought and history and have an appreciation for American founding principles.

Qualifications:

Education:
Either 1) a Ph.D. in Government or Political Science or 2) a combination of a JD and an MA in Government or Political Science.

Prerequisites for the Job:
Demonstrated teaching excellence in the field of government/political science. Demonstrated scholarly potential in the field of government/political science. Preferred: experience coaching or competing in moot court.

Excellence, innovation and integrity. Strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and mentoring students.
