Regent University’s School of Divinity is seeking to fill a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position. This position will be located at Regent University’s Virginia Beach, VA campus.
Regent University School of Divinity is one of the 15 largest seminaries in North America accredited by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) and offers master’s and doctoral degrees. As an inter/multidenominational seminary, the School of Divinity represents a range of denominations, ethnicities and backgrounds, united by a commitment to Renewal Theology, which is the exploration, formulation, and proclamation of the renewal of the Church, and by extension the world, through the loving-kindness and holiness of God, the eternal Father, in the death and resurrection of the Son, Jesus Christ, and the renewing power of the Holy Spirit.
Qualifications: An earned Doctor of Philosophy (or equivalent) degree from a regionally accredited college, seminary, or university. Applicants from all major disciplines of theology (Biblical Studies, Church History, Practical Theology, or Systematic Theology) are encouraged to apply, if they have the following CV items: 5-10 years of higher education teaching experience, a record of scholarly publications in the field of Renewal Theology, and a record of fruitful ministry. Responsibilities for this position include teaching, student mentoring, oversight of theses/dissertations, scholarly productivity, and institutional/community service.
Expectations include: 1) a dedication to Christ-centered teaching and learning; 2) a record of academic scholarship; 3) the ability to teach graduate and doctoral-level courses; 4) an evangelical faith with a high view of the inspiration of the Scripture; 5) a commitment to and experience with the present day ministry of the Holy Spirit as embodied in the faithful tradition of Biblical Christianity; and 6) a willingness to embrace the College and University Identity and Mission statements and subscribe to a statement of Christian faith.
