The Alumni Officer will be responsible for cultivating relationships between the University and alumni to further the Office of Alumni Relation’s mission of serving and engaging the Regent University community while encouraging support for the advancement of Christian leadership to change the world.

Essential duties:

  • Actively collaborate with another fellow Alumni Officer to recognize constituents with the goal of increasing constituent involvement in the activities of the University through personalized correspondence and event participation. 
  • Assist with identifying noteworthy and inspiring alumni stories and leads for the Impact newsletter, Alumni Spotlights, etc. 
  • Engage and show appreciation for legacy students and their families.
  • Plan and execute communication and promotions for event campaigns and special projects while working with the Director of Alumni Engagement.
  • Provide general alumni programming assistance.
  • Identify alumni who may be interested in assisting with job placement or mentoring current Regent students.
  • Prepare proper documentation of all constituent contacts and ensure timely recording of these contacts in Banner. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or experience in related field required
  • 1-3 years experience in higher education, preferably with Alumni Engagement, Student Affairs, or with a non-profit organization handling general office duties and/ or event logistics 
  • Alumnus of Regent University preferred
  • Must be willing to travel and work evening/weekend hours as needed

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and engage alumni of all ages and backgrounds in a professional manner
  • Ability to promote a peaceful, respectful, and Christ-centered work environment
  • Ability to function both independently and cooperatively as part of a team within a fast-paced environment
