The AR Analyst will provide accounting services in the areas of receiving and processing cash items, petty cash and change funds. This position serves as a liaison between the department, students, and 3rd party vendors. 

Essential duties:

  • Process student payments, collect money due and record to student accounts.
  • Handle student account inquiries, provide customer service for student and other related inquiries.
  • Provide timely and accurate response to student emails and phone calls.
  • Address student questions and concerns in a polite and confident manner, especially where deadlines and policies are concerned.
  • Process and record accounts receivable payments.
  • Balance daily cash transactions and prepare bank deposits.
  • Verify and process interdepartmental deposits from all auxiliary units, cost centers, and departments.
  • Maintain petty cash and change funds as assigned, verifying daily.
  • Maintain accounts receivable billing, returned checks, and installment payment files.
  • Process student tuition refund requests.
  • Serve as back-up for 3rd party invoicing.
  • Perform collection account review and assist with collection placement with outside agencies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; associate’s degree in business preferred

Candidates must have:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Conscientiousness with the ability to follow through on a myriad of details daily
  • Initiative with minimal direction
  • Ability to address multiple tasks during periods of high volume with grace, tact, and humor
