Responsibilities:
Provide friendly, professional informational and research assistance in multiple formats: in-person, telephone, email, live chat, etc
· Add reference transactions to the analytics database
· Assist with the preparation of reports as needed
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Excellent customer service skills
· Ability to communicate in a clear, effective manner
· Strong research and analytical skills
· Ability to follow instructions and work with a team, demonstrating awareness of each of the library’s departmental responsibilities
· Self-motivated to complete a work schedule and tasks with limited supervision
· Must be able to work effectively and responsibly with library patrons in a public service environment and to serve a variety of people
· Willingness to learn a variety of resources
· Willingness to work on weekends and evenings
· Ability to learn quickly and to work carefully and accurately at various tasks involving detail
· Willingness to adhere to agreed upon work schedules
