The Student Affairs/Records Associate position will provide administrative support to the Dean of Student Affairs and assist in the general operations of the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs and the Records Office.

Essential duties:

  • Serve law students’ needs through email, phone calls, and face-to-face interactions. 
  • Provide law student support and information for registration, records management, academic petitions, exams, class ranks, and general issues and questions.
  • Maintain proper storage of all registration material.
  • Update forms for the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs and Records Office.
  • Clear J.D. and LL.M. students for graduation.
  • Certify law students and law alumni to sit for bar examinations and provide required information to requesting jurisdictions.
  • Assist law students with registration - advising law students on necessary curriculum requirements, registering students for certain classes, processing paperwork, and distributing to various departments.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of high school graduate; undergraduate degree preferred; professional training helpful 
  • Office experience; experience in higher education helpful
  • Strong computer knowledge essential (Microsoft Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of Blackboard, Banner, Cognos, WebX, Zoom, Degree Works, and Oracle computer systems
  • Ability to type a minimum of 50 wpm

  • Flexible in assuming projects
  • Ability to successfully manage heavy workloads simultaneously with numerous student interactions
  • Ability to meet deadline pressures and produce an accurate work product
  • Maintain confidentiality in working with student affairs and records
  • Positive outlook; solution and team-oriented
