The Email Marketing Coordinator serves as a facilitator of email marketing strategies to achieve brand awareness, communicate Regent University’s mission and vision, and help meet enrollment objectives. This position reports to the Digital Communications Manager and serves a key role in the development of email and SMS content. as well as other means of digital communications. The primary responsibilities of the position focus on email operations to execute various email marketing campaigns, end-to-end, by following established production processes.

Secondary responsibilities include monitoring email campaign metrics and analyzing data to optimize campaign performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create integrated marketing campaigns that align with overall marketing goals, staying up to date with email marketing trends and best practices, and implementing new strategies as needed to improve campaign effectiveness. This position will work collaboratively with creative development, marketing strategy, and enrollment management stakeholders.

Work Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Salary: $44,875-$49,875 annually

Essential Functions:

  • Gather and/or develop creative assets and testing email templates to ensure clean rendering across email clients
  • Build audience segments and backend set-up in email platforms, seeking campaign approvals, and deploying approved emails
  • Support event and newsletter email drops/campaigns independently or with little oversight
  • Know deadlines and other key dates, as well as understanding campaign goals/business needs
  • Help to manage and maintain Email Marketing Master Calendar to avoid audience overlap and provide campaign development status updates that may affect drop schedules
  • Work in email platforms like Salesforce and MailChimp - and others as needed
  • Understand data structure and list segmentation within the email marketing platform (Salesforce)
  • Know and actively using Brand Guidelines and available resources and templates, helping to develop new components as appropriate
  • Be aware of larger Marketing initiatives and taking a holistic approach to campaign management, ensuring a close alignment with overall Marketing efforts
  • Measure effectiveness of email campaigns and preparing comprehensive reports and analysis. Presenting data to key stakeholders and proposing future campaign optimizations, as appropriate

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and directly related experience is required
  • Demonstrated experience with data measurement to create engaging online content experience with digital marketing platforms
  • Familiarity with inbound marketing tactics and lead generation
  • Proficient writing skills

Candidates must have:

  • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams for projects, including setting clear objectives, organizing people, coordinating activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring projects are on track
  • Results-oriented with the ability to organize and independently manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective time-management and prioritization skills, estimating appropriate time for tasks and deliverables to consistently meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the ability to navigate and learn institutional technology platforms efficiently
