The Collaborative Pianist will be responsible for playing for all rehearsals and performances for voice students.

Essential duties:

  • Play accompaniment for weekly masterclasses.
  • Play accompaniment for 2-4 showcases per semester.
  • Play accompaniment for end of semester juries for all voice majors and rehearsals.
  • Play accompaniment for junior/senior recitals and rehearsals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution required; an earned degree in piano performance or collaborative piano is preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in accompanying solo and ensemble with excellent sight-reading skills in various styles of music is required
  • A record of or potential for piano collaboration
  • Prior college work experience preferred with the ability to support and collaborate with other musicians, especially undergraduate students
  • Must be available for evening and/or weekend rehearsals and concerts as well as to travel with performers
